About Princess Clementine Omorinola Adegborioye

Princess Mrs. Clementine Omorinola Adegborioye (née Adetubokanwa) was born on May 20, 1935, in Ode-Irele, Ondo State, to Oba Samuel Aladetubokanwa and Olori Sarah Fabimitan Aladetubokanwa. She had a strong Christian upbringing and early exposure to palace responsibilities.

She began her education at St. Peter's Catholic School, Ode-Irele, before moving to Ondo Girls School in 1947. She later trained as a Missionary Nurse at CMS Maternity Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, and briefly served in Ekpoma, Edo State.

In 1958, she joined University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, as a Staff Midwife. After marrying Chief Macaulay Adegborioye, she moved to London, where she studied Hotel and Catering Management at Borough Polytechnic (now London South Bank University). Returning to Nigeria in 1963, she became a Catering Superintendent at the University of Ibadan, serving for 20 years before retiring in 1984. She later ran the catering service at Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall, UI, until 1992.

A devoted Christian and philanthropist, Princess Adegborioye has been an active member of St. Anne’s Church, Molete, serving as Vice President of the Christian Social Union (CSU) and a Trained Disciple. She went on a Holy Pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 2011, earning the JP title. She is also a member of multiple Christian fellowships and holds the prestigious title of Iya-Ijo of St. Andrew Church, Ode-Irele.

A loving mother and mentor, she raised five children and influenced many others. Widely traveled across continents, she remains a beacon of faith, humility, and generosity, dedicating her life to God’s work.

At 90 years old, she is celebrated as a mother in a trillion—fearfully and wonderfully made!
